200 cyberpunk background plates. Free.

Wide 1280 × 720 scene plates for a cyberpunk game: title and menu screens, visual novel and dialogue backdrops, battle and encounter grounds, establishing shots, loading screens, cutscene frames.

100 places, and every one of them drawn twice — once rendered, once as pixel art.

Every scene comes twice

The two editions are the same hundred places: same composition, same sector, same filename. Only the medium changes.

That matters more than a style preference. It means you can swap the whole game's look by changing one path — prototype against the rendered plates and ship pixel art, run a pixel-art game with rendered cutscenes, or offer both and let the player pick. Nothing else in your project has to move.

Ten sectors of one city

They are filed as districts rather than as a heap, so a scene that needs "somewhere in the slums" has ten plates that belong to each other.

  • Street & Alleys — noodle stalls, rain-drenched crosswalks, pawn shops, back-alley clinics
  • Megacorp — boardrooms, atria, aero-car valets, specimen halls
  • Black Markets — chop shops, bionics theatres, smuggler sewers, fight cages
  • Transit & Docks — cargo ports, maglev interiors, container stacks, dock gantries
  • Slums — tenement stairwells, capsule hotels, standpipes, tarpaulin roofs
  • Nightlife — arcades, rave bunkers, VR parlours, rooftop bars
  • Industrial — turbine halls, refineries, broadcast antennae, chutes
  • Data Centers — cold aisles, server cathedrals, crypto vaults, cable runs
  • Wasteland — chemical spills, dead suburbs, border checkpoints, ash flats
  • Elite — sky villas, orbital lounges, aquarium restaurants, private decks

Two things worth knowing before you download

Nobody is in them. No characters anywhere in frame. That is deliberate: you cast the scene yourself, and one plate serves a dozen different conversations.

Signage is part of the scene. These are lived-in places, so neon shopfronts, stencilled dock numbers and hazard boards appear as set dressing — CHOP-SHOP, DOCK 07, VR PARLOR. That is worldbuilding rather than a UI layer, but if you want a plate with no lettering on it at all, plenty have none.
