Three times of day, every location

This is the part that does the work. A scene at noon and the same scene at midnight are two different moods and the same geography, so a game can move through a day without moving the player, and a location a player already knows reads differently when they come back to it at night.

What goes in front of them

These are the wide half of a set. The square half is card art — 512 × 512, drawn in the same 32-bit pixel hand, cut to the art window of the card template it ships with. Put a creature card from one of those in front of a scene from this pack and it reads as one game, because it is one hand drawing both.

The card template's playable demo, which you can run in your browser without buying anything, uses eight of these backgrounds as its arenas — unedited files out of this download, a different one every game.

Licence

Free, and free to ship. Use them in an unlimited number of projects, commercial or personal. Sell those projects — no revenue cap, no unit cap, no royalty. Modify anything: recolour, crop, composite, paint over. No attribution required — credit is welcome, never necessary.

The one thing you can't do is resell the art itself as an asset pack. Ship the assets in your game; don't ship the assets as your product.
